(€10.50 / day ) The best part for us Irish couple is we flew from Cork Airport, Ireland to Bordeaux Airport on a Ryanair flight: 19:25 pm -22:10 pm (€30 each, one way) We took Tram  A  destined for La Ggardette or Dravemont. We switched at Porte de Bourgogne ( just walk across the tracks) and could take Tram D or C to Gare de St Jean Bourdeaux train station (a central hub) for the price of €1.70 each) We walked 50 M to the Hotel Regina.  The building has character and a sense of history and longevity. We are conscious of our carbon footprint and try to live within planetary limits. Our stay at Hotel Regina centred around the proximity to low-carbon modes of transport and the owner's ethos of sustainability and affordability. The staff at the hotel are welcoming, accommodating, and approachable, and they make our stay in Bordeaux very enjoyable. We rate room 11 and Hotel Regina Bourdeaux: 5 out of 5. Jerry & Eileen .

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Regina. It is right opposite the train station and the square has a pleasant buzz about it. I found the area absolutely fine, with some lovely streets surrounding the hotel. The hotel was immediately welcoming, with friendly and professional staff. The room I had was very clean, and had a bright and airy feel thanks to the white and pastel walls. The bed was comfortable too. I would immediately choose to stay here again if I were staying in Bordeaux. The tram can take you to the busiest parts of the city within 10 minutes, and yet this area feels part of the main city too and you could walk to the same places. Thanks for a lovely stay... I felt like I was returning home whenever I came back to the hotel, and that's always a good measure of a hotel.

The hotel his extremely well located for ease of travel - there are rail, tram and bus services right outside the hotel, so travel to the city centre or further afield is very convenient. I had not planned on taking breakfast in the hotel but, having tried it on my first morning, I had breakfast there for the rest of my stay - the food on offer was of typical continental style and of good quality. The breakfast experience itself was a very pleasant and calm way to start the day. Above all the hotel staff were very welcoming, helpful, friendly and efficient.

Le Regina Bordeaux Gare Saint-Jean is perfectly located just about three minutes' stroll opposite the St Jean train station, perfectly located for travelers just arriving or set to leave Bordeaux by train, and is serviced by the city's principal tram lines. The room had a fine view of the station, but was remarkably quiet. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient, and our room was a very good size by French standards.

characterful old hotel located opposite the rail station. we had room 23 which was a suite with spacious bedroom (big bed), bathroom and separate sitting area with sofa, desk, tv, kettle. it was newly redecorated and although very simply furnished was bright and clean. It was very quiet and we slept well. Staff were really lovely - welcoming and friendly.Breakfast was typical of French hotels - a little basic.
